About
Ana Martin

Ana Martin Upholstery was founded by Marcin Tulaza, a master upholsterer with more than 25 years’ experience.

Originally trained in the traditional upholsterer’s craft in his native Poland, Marcin has spent the last 15 years in the UK, learning about the unique aspects of the British market, the best practices and the contemporary design aspect of upholstery.

Having learned from the best, Marcin decided to bring his extensive skills and experience together and launch his own upholstery studio, providing bespoke upholstery services to customers in London and the South-east of England.

Values we
believe in

Superior
Workmanship

We believe that workmanship is the foundation of excellence, the basis on which everything else – creative design, historical authenticity, utility, comfort and beauty - can shine

Attention
to Detail

We believe that from precise measurements to painstaking execution, attention to detail makes the difference between the adequate and the outstanding. We aim for the latter.

Patience

We believe that workmanship is the foundation of excellence, the basis on which everything else – creative design, historical authenticity, utility, comfort and beauty - can shine

Passion

We believe that from precise measurements to painstaking execution, attention to detail makes the difference between the adequate and the outstanding. We aim for the latter.

Trust

We believe that a partnership between a craftsperson and a customer is based on trust, earned through consistency, reliability, accuracy and timeliness.

Creativity

We believe that creativity manifests both in visible ways, from design to finishing, and in the less visible yet no less important aspects of execution and approach.

How we
work

Every project at Ana Martin Upholestry is bespoke, and starts with the information about your requirements. The best way to begin is to send us a message using our contact page.

If you need a piece of furniture re-upholstered or renovated, please include measurements and ideally a photo. Otherwise, describe the project in as much detail as possible, so we can provide you with the most accurate estimate.

Although we don’t keep a stock of upholstery fabrics - the variety of choices available out there is just too great to limit ourselves in this way – we are able to source pretty much anything you can imagine. If you have not decided what type, colour or design is the most suitable for your piece and your interior design scheme, we will be very happy to advise and recommend the most suitable options.

We will either use the fabric you provide, or we are able to source the fabric for you. Please note that the latter option requires an advance, non-refundable payment for the fabric. We usually work from our workshop in south London, and can provide transport for your items for an affordable fee, but if you project requires us to work in situ (wall upholstery, large and exceptionally difficult to move furniture), we will do that at your convenience.

We require a 50% deposit for most projects, with the balance paid on completion.
